Bruch: Violin Concerto in G minor
Brevard Philharmonic, Donald Portnoy conducting

He plays with an elegant economy of motion, and never resorts to the histrionics of large gestures seen so frequently on stage. Dear friends,

Tonight our beloved daughter Natalie peacefully passed away, surrounded by her parents, sister, and aunt. As many who knew her would agree, she was a beautiful and kind soul. It was Jane’s and my privilege to be her parents for 23 years.

Since her initial surgery two weeks ago, she had been in a coma and yesterday, a CT scan revealed extensive brain damage in all areas, not just the left side where the initial tumor was found. Natalie would never have recovered and been kept alive only by machines. She would not have wanted that, nor did we.

During Natalie’s final days, thank you all for, most of all, your unending prayers and abundant love. God’s gentle and caring embrace was revealed to us through all of you.

David
